Turkish Council of Ministers, through the Decision for the Application of a Safeguard Measure in the Importation of Certain Cotton Yarn published in the Official Gazette no. 27031 dated 21st of September 2008, gave the final decision for the imposition of an additional financial duty applicable for a period of three years to the imports of cotton yarn (other than sewing thread), containing 85% or more by weight of cotton, not put up for retail sale (HS code 5205).
