US to investigate polyester yarn from China, India

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) has determined that there is a reasonable indication that the US industry is materially injured by reason of imports of polyester textured yarn from China and India that are allegedly subsidised and sold in the United States at less than fair value. The US department of commerce will continue its investigations.

U.S. department of commerce announces antidumping duty rates and additional countervailing duty rates on quartz surface products from China

The U.S. Department of Commerce (“Commerce”) announced its preliminary determination that imports of quartz surface products from China are being dumped into the U.S., violating existing U.S. trade laws. As a result, Commerce will impose antidumping (“AD”) duties on such imports ranging from 242.10 to 341.29%.
