The Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) agreed at its meeting on 26 October to a request from Argentina for the establishment of a dispute panel to review anti-dumping duties imposed by the United States on oil country tubular goods (OCTG) imported from Argentina. WTO members also considered a request from Indonesia for a panel to review countervailing duties imposed by the European Union on biodiesel imports from Indonesia. The EU said it was not in a position to accept Indonesia's request.

Two new U.S. antidumping (“AD”) petitions were filed on Oct. 25 by the American Shrimp Processors Association (“ASPA” or “Petitioner”) against imports of frozen warmwater shrimp from Ecuador and Indonesia. Petitioner also filed four countervailing duty (“CVD”) petitions against imports of frozen warmwater shrimp from Ecuador, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the total export turnover of agriculture, forestry and fisheries of the whole country was estimated at 38.48 billion USD, in the first nine months of 2023, down 5.1% compared to the same period in 2022. The agricultural sector still maintains its target of a total export turnover of 54 billion USD, for the whole year 2023.
