South Korea's trade watchdog said Thursday it has decided to recommend the government extend anti-dumping duties on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film imported from Taiwan, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, citing substantial damage to the local industry.

The United States Department of Commerce (DOC) has extended the deadline for issuing the final conclusion on anti-dumping and anti-subsidy probe into stainless steel from Vietnam, according to the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam.

Vietnam will impose a zero percent tax rate on 31 commodities imported from Cambodia such as live poultry, poultry meat and by-products, lemons and rice.

Ceramic tile suppliers from India, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia have been found to cause material injury to Taiwan's industry by selling their products at unfair low prices, according to the International Trade Commission (ITC) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Many local seafood export enterprises forecast that the US and European markets will have high demand for importing shrimp at year-end.

Despite the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, agricultural exports are seeing bright signs, with Turkey emerging as a potential market for Vietnam, according to insiders.

Demand from the European Union and North American markets recovered and rose strongly, boosting the export volume of galvanised steel and offsetting weak domestic consumption in the first half of this year, Việt Dragon Securities Corporation (VDSC) said in a report.
