The Mexican Secretariat of Economy has announced its plan to initiate an anti-dumping investigation into cold-rolled sheets originating from Vietnam.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has decided to impose trade remedies against sugar products imported from five ASEAN countries that use Thai sugarcane.

The Finance Ministry has imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain Opal Glassware from China and the UAE. The anti-dumping duty will be valid for five years with effect from Wednesday. 

In order to achieve the target of growing agricultural, forestry and fishery exports from 2.8 to 3% compared to 2021, the agricultural industry needs to focus on boosting exports to major markets such as the United States, the EU, China, Japan and Korea.

Bangladesh seeks the abolition of anti-dumping duty (ADD) on jute by India. However, Indian jute industry may not be happy as it is still facing a stiff competition and has complained about the financial incentives provided to Bangladeshi industry. Data shows very limited impact on Bangladeshi supplies of jute to India after imposition of duty in 2017. 

There was a trade surplus of US$764 million in the first seven months of the year as exports soared 16.1 percent year-on-year to $216.35 billion.
Imports rose by 13.6 percent to $215.59 billion, according to data from the General Statistic Office.
 

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has issued a decision on the application of measures to prevent evasion of trade remedies against some cane sugar products imported from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar.

Vietnam-Thailand trade has continuously grown by double digits, with a trade surplus in favor of Thailand. In order to promote strong exports and expand market share in Thailand, Vietnamese goods must overcome challenges in terms of quality, price, and design to increase competitiveness.
