Vietnam's fruit and vegetable sector aims to achieve 8 billion USD in export revenue in 2025, building on significant market expansion and sound growth, according to the Vietnam Fruits and Vegetables Association (VINAFRUIT).

After experiencing a sharp fall in exports in 2023, the Vietnamese wood industry bounced back in 2024 and is currently flying high as a major hard currency earner of the economy, with export earnings projected to be at US$18 billion this year.

To protect domestic production, in 2024, the Trade Defense Department will continue to investigate and review 10 cases initiated in 2023; initiate investigations of 06 new cases, initiate reviews of 03 end-of-term reviews; initiate 01 annual review, receive and process 07 new investigation and review requests.

Early warnings about the risk of trade defense investigations will help Vietnamese seafood businesses prepare well to overcome lawsuits.
