TIA statement on Chinese-made tire quotas

BOWIE, Md. (June 18, 2009) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) released a statement June 17 announcing its opposition to a petition by the United Steelworkers (USW) union to the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) asking for limits on the import of Chinese-made passenger and light truck tires.
Japan asks to join Brazil's orange juice complaint at WTO against US

Japan has asked to join in Brazil's complaint before the WTO against the United States over orange juice (DS382 -'United States - Anti-Dumping Administrative Reviews and Other Measures Related to Imports of Certain Orange Juice from Brazil'). On June 5, Japan notified the US and Brazilian missions in Geneva that it wished to join in the dispute as a third party. Japan explained, saying it "has a substantial trade interest in these consultations. The measures at issue appear to be related to the imports of 'orange juice' products which Japan exports to the United States."
