On January 17, 2014, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) pursuant to subsection 38(1) of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) made a preliminary determination of dumping, in respect of certain hot-rolled carbon steel plate and high-strength low-alloy steel plate originating in or exported from Brazil, Chinese Taipei, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
