Mexico Slaps Dumping Duty On Argentinian Soybean Oil
18/06/2015 10:31
Mexico announced on June 2, 2015, that it has decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty of 25.95 percent on imports of epoxidized soybean oil from Argentina.
The Mexican Government initiated an anti-dumping investigation regarding imports of epoxidized soybean oil from Argentina on October 10, 2014, at the request of Mexican manufacturers.
The preliminary investigation concluded that the domestic industry had been adversely affected by unfairly priced imports of epoxidized soybean oil from Argentina during the period from January 1, 2011, to December 31, 2013.
The provisional anti-dumping duty was applied to prevent further damage to Mexican manufacturers while the dumping investigation continues.
Epoxidized soybean oil is used in the production of polyvinyl chloride plastics.
