India: Increased import quota for marble blocks

On 4 August 2011, the government of India has raised the import quota for marble blocks.
For the fiscal year 2011-12, a total of 500'000 tons of marble block may be imported.
The original quota had been fixed at 300'000 tons.
The import of marble blocks remains subject to various conditions. Among them is a minimum import prices of $325 per ton.
