Hong Kong: Ministry of Commerce Rules on Inheritance of Anti-dumping Duty Rates for Copolymer Polyoxymethylene Imports Originating from S Korea, Thailand and Malaysia

The Ministry of Commerce announced that it received applications on April 17 and 22 from Daicel HPP Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and KOLON INDUSTRIES, INC., respectively.
The above companies requested to inherit the anti-dumping duty rates and other rights and obligations applicable to Polyplastics Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. and KOLON ENP, INC. under the anti-dumping measures on copolymer polyoxymethylene originating from S Korea, Thailand and Malaysia. The Ministry of Commerce conducted an investigation and made decisions on the inheritance of the applicable duty rates.
Accordingly, the Ministry decided that Daicel HPP Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. will inherit the 8% anti-dumping duty rate and other rights and obligations applicable to Polyplastics Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. under the anti-dumping measures on copolymer polyoxymethylene.
KOLON INDUSTRIES, INC. will inherit the 6.2% anti-dumping duty rate and other rights and obligations applicable to KOLON ENP, INC. under the anti-dumping measures on copolymer polyoxymethylene.
Exports of copolymer polyoxymethylene to China under the name of Polyplastics Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. will be subject to the 9.5% anti-dumping duty rate applicable to "other Malaysian companies" under the anti-dumping measures.
Exports of copolymer polyoxymethylene to China under the name of KOLON ENP, INC. will be subject to the 30.4% anti-dumping duty rate applicable to "other Korean companies" under the anti-dumping measures.
