The Commission today imposed anti-dumping duties on imports of aluminium road wheels originating in Morocco.

An investigation found that imports from Morocco were being dumped on the EU market and were harming the EU road wheels manufacturing industry, which employs 17,000 people.

The anti-dumping duties, which range from 9% to 17.5%, have been in force provisionally since 15 July 2022. They serve to re-establish fair competitive conditions on the EU market between road wheels imported from Morocco and those domestically produced, thus protecting EU producers from further injury caused by the dumped imports from Morocco.

In addition to the measures on imports from Morocco, the EU also has anti-dumping duties in place on imports of aluminium road wheels from China. An investigation is currently ongoing to determine if those anti-dumping duties should be further extended. The decision will be taken on 19 January 2023.
