Complaint by Sri Lanka.
On 23 February 1996, Sri Lanka requested consultations with Brazil concerning Brazil’s imposition of countervailing duties on Sri Lanka’s export of desiccated coconut and coconut milk powder. Sri Lanka alleged that those measures are inconsistent with GATT Articles I, II and VI and Article 13(a) of the Agriculture Agreement (the so-called peace clause). See WT/DS22.
