Canada Takes Anti-dumping Sunset Review on Hot-Rolled Carbon Steel Plates

On April 25, 2012, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) announced starting its antidumping (AD) sunset review on hot-rolled carbon steel plates from China.
As per relevant legal procedure, the Canada Border Service Agency will make a ruling on August 23 this year on whether the Chinese products have taken on dumping in Canada; if an affirmative ruling is brought on, the CITT will make its ruling on January 8 next year on whether the dumped Chinese products will continue or repeat their injury to Canadian local industry.
On February 13, 1997, the Agency launched the antidumping probe under HS Codes 72085110.00, 72085199.10, 72085199.91, 72085199.92, 72085199.93, 72085199.94, 72085199.95, 72085219.00, 72085290.10, 72085290.91, 72085290.92, 72085290.93, 72085290.94 and 72085290.95 and on September 25, 1997, it announced the imminent expiry of the antidumping measures.
