Xiangtan Steel and Lianyuan Steel encounter Indian AD investigation

It is reported that India has launched anti dumping probe into hot rolled steel products imported from 15 countries including China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, South Africa, Indonesia and Turkey.
Three enterprises in Hunan Province, namely Lianyuan Steel, Xiangtan Steel and Changsha Xiangjia Metal Material Trading Co Ltd are involved in the case, with total value of over USD 211 million.
The application was filed by Essar Steels Limited, Ispat Industries Limited, and JSW Steel Limited on behalf of the domestic industry.
The product under consideration Hot Rolled Coils, Hot Rolled Sheets, Hot Rolled Plates, Hot Rolled Strips or any other hot rolled flat products of iron or non alloy steel of a thickness not exceeding 20 mm and of a width of 600mm or more, not clad, plated or coated, classified under Chapter 7208.
The period of investigation for the purpose of present investigation is April 1st 2007 to September 30th 2008.
