Welded Steel Pipes and Tubes - Brazil investigates anti-dumping measures

On April 24, 2017, Brazilian authorities initiated an anti-dumping duty investigation of Welded Steel Pipes and Tubes imported from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

2. Petitioner: Aperam Inox Tubos Brasil Ltda., Marcegaglia do Brasil Ltda.
3. Product under investigation: Welded Steel Pipes and Tubes, HS codes: 7306.40.0040 and 7306.90.20.
4. Final determinations:
On 14 June 2018, the Brazilian authorities imposed a definitive antidumping duty on imports of austenitic stainless steel tubes from Malaysia, Thailand and Viet Nam. The rate of duty on imports from Malaysia is USD 367.56 or 740.02 per tonne depending on the company. The rate of duty on imports from Thailand is USD 747.56 per tonne. The rate of duty on imports from Viet Nam is between USD 782.11 and 888.27 per tonne depending on the company. The measure is in force for a period of five years.
