On October 24, 2023, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) officially initiated an anti-dumping investigation on aluminum extrusions and aluminum products imported from 15 countries/territories including: Colombia, Dominica, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, China, Korea, Taiwan - China, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and anti-subsidy investigation (CTC) with the same products from 4 countries: Indonesia, Mexico, China, Turkey. Vietnam was only subjected to the anti-dumping investigation.

4. Petitioner: Aluminum Extruders Coalition and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union.

5. Preliminary conclusion:

On November 21, 2023, USITC issued a preliminary conclusion, confirming there was damage from dumping behavior by Colombia, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, China, South Korea, and Taiwan. - China, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam. Dominica was excluded from the investigation due to its insignificant exports to the United States.

On May 7, 2024, USDOC concluded that there was dumping, with a dumping margin of 2.85% - 41.84%

6. Final conclusions

On October 30, 2024, USITC issues final determination of no injury. Case closed, no anti-dumping duties imposed.
