US against lifting anti dumping restrictions on hot rolled steel from Russia

Itar Tass reported that the US International Trade Commission spoke against the lifting of anti-dumping restrictions on the import of hot rolled flat rolled carbon quality steel products from Russia.
The commission said that termination of the suspension agreement on hot rolled flat rolled carbon quality steel products from Russia would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the United States within a reasonably foreseeable time.
The decision means that the anti-dumping restrictions will most likely stay in force.
The commission ruled to the contrary with regard to similar imports from Brazil and Japan. It said that revocation of the countervailing duty order on hot rolled flat rolled carbon quality steel products from Brazil and revocation of the antidumping duty orders on hot rolled flat rolled carbon quality steel products from Brazil and Japan would not be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the United States within a reasonably foreseeable time
