Turkey imposes safeguard measure on imports of PET

The Turkish Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, through Communiqué no 2011/08 on Safeguard Measure in Importation, decided to impose safeguard measures on imports of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) for a period of three years.
The measure takes the form of extra custom duties of %8; %7,5 and %7 of the CIF prices of the subject product, respectively for the current and next two years.
The decision includes a proposal to the Council of Ministers for the exclusion of developing countries from the measure.
