Trade office imposes anti-dumping duty on imports of VSF

The Brazilian government had been conducting anti-dumping investigations on allegation from domestic producers of Viscose Staple Fibre (VSF) on imports of the fibre from China, Thailand, Indonesia and Austria.
The Foreign Trade Committee has now decided to impose to apply definitive anti-dumping duty on VSF imports from the above countries by imposing them in the range of US $0.60-0.64 per kg depending upon the country of import.
Earlier, Fibre2fashion had reported that the Foreign Trade Committee, Brazil had imposed provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of Viscose staple fibre imported from Austria, China and Taiwan to be effective for a period of six months from October 9, 2008.
The Foreign Trade Committee has now decided to impose to apply definitive anti-dumping duty on VSF imports from the above countries by imposing them in the range of US $0.60-0.64 per kg depending upon the country of import.
