The U.S. ITC's Preliminary Injury Ruling on Optical Whiteners from China & China's Taiwan

On May 16, 2011, U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) released its affirmative preliminary ruling for material injury to relevant U.S. industries by dumped optical whitening agents originating in China and China's Taiwan.
By this ruling, U.S. Department of Commerce continues anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations into the involved products.
On April 20, 2011, the Department launched the anti-dumping investigation into optical whitening agents from China and China's Taiwan under HS code 32042080.00; besides, such products also imported under HS codes of 29336960.50, 29215940.00 and 29215980.90.
Applicants request imposition of 80.64%-203.16% anti-dumping duties on China-made whiteners and 61.79%-109.45% anti-dumping duties on Taiwanese whiteners.
