Saudi's Advanced says India imposes import duties

JEDDAH, July 8 (Reuters) - Saudi-based Advanced Polypropylene Co 2330.SE said on Wednesday India had imposed unspecified duties on polypropylene products imported from Saudi Arabia and other countries.

India has imposed "precautionary duties" as part of investigations after Indian firms complained of dumping, the statement on the Saudi bourse said.

It did not say how much the measure would affect the firm, saying only Advanced Company's sales to India range between 2.5 to 3.5 percent of global sales in 2008 and 2009.

China has launched an anti-dumping investigation into methanol imported from Saudi Arabia and three other countries to assess whether the material was sold below production prices. [ID:nPEK184861]

The China move has triggered protests by Saudi exporters.
