US DOC preliminary results of AD review on stainless steel from Japan

Department of Commerce has announced that, in response to timely requests by two manufacturers and exporters, it is conducting an administrative review of the antidumping duty order on certain stainless steel sheet and strip in coils from Japan with respect to Hitachi Cable Limited and Nippon Kinzoku Co Limited. The review covers the period July 1st 2007 through June 30th 2008.

Beijing - The Chinese government and Chinese aluminium wheel manufacturers Tuesday rejected dumping charges and said an investigation requested by European manufacturers runs counter to World Trade Organization rules. The European Wheel Association (EWA), which represents six aluminium wheel companies, filed a complaint to the European Commission in June, accusing China of dumping its products in the European market and undercutting local businesses.
