USITC Institutes Section 337 Investigation On Certain Liquid Crystal Display Devices, Including Monitors, Televisions, And Modul

The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has voted to institute an investigation of certain liquid crystal display devices, including monitors, televisions, and modules, and components thereof. The products at issue in this investigation are liquid crystal display panels and larger products, such as televisions, incorporating these panels.

In accordance with Article 48 of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Anti-Dumping, the period for the imposition of an anti-dumping duty and fulfillment of a price undertaking shall not exceed 5 years. However, the period for the imposition of the anti-dumping duty may be appropriately extended if, as a result of the review, it is determined that the termination of the duty would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury.
Imported Paper Final Ruling Is Near

The Commerce Department (DOC) has issued final anti-dumping and countervailing duty margins on coated paper imports from China and Indonesia, providing a victory for domestic paper producers that may be short lived. The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) will hold a final vote this month to ultimately determine whether domestic paper producers were harmed by the subject imports.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has today concluded a re-investigation to update the normal values, export prices and amounts of subsidy, pursuant to the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), in respect of certain flat hot-rolled carbon and alloy steel sheet and strip originating in or exported from Brazil, the People's Republic of China (China), Chinese Taipei, Ukraine, South Africa and India (dumping), and certain flat hot-rolled carbon and alloy steel sheet and strip originating in or exported from India (subsidizing).
