India: More clarity needed on anti-dumping notifications

The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has clarified (through Circular number 28/2011-Cus dated July 8, 2011) that definitive/final anti-dumping duty can be collected beyond the stipulated period only when a notification extending the levy has been issued, before the expiry of the parent notification.
U.S. Manufacturers File Anti-Dumping Petition, Citing Unfair Korean Competition

ABB Inc., Delta Star Inc. and Pennsylvania Transformer Technologies Inc. have jointly filed an anti-dumping duty petition with the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) alleging that "unfairly traded imports of large power transformers [LPTs] with a top rating of 60 MVA or more from Korea are causing material injury to the domestic industry."
Pakistan's Final AD Ruling on China's Hydrogen Peroxide

On July 6, 2011, the National Tariff Commission (NTC) of Pakistan released a notice on its final ruling of anti-dumping (AD) investigation on hydrogen peroxide imports (under HS Code 28470000), deciding to impose anti-dumping duties on involved products originating in China, Belgium, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan region, Turkey for five years (counting from the preliminary-ruling date of September 27, 2010).
Taiwan Paper Ind. Association Files Anti-dumping Charges

Taipei, July 14, 2011 (CENS)--The Taiwan Paper Industry Association recently filed anti-dumping charges with the Ministry of Finance to look into imported coated paper from China, Japan, South Korea and Finland, with the move pleasing leading paper manufacturers as Yuen Fonog Yu Paper Mfg. Co. and Cheng Loong Corp.
