Mexico: Continuation of application of antidumping duties against certain types of industrial monocarboxylic fatty acids

On October 6, 2011, the Government of Mexico announced the final results of the first sunset review of the antidumping duty applicable to certain types of industrial monocarboxylic fatty acids from the U.S.
As a result of this review, the Mexican authorities have decided to continue applying, for a period of five years, antidumping duties of 23.29% to imports from all U.S. exporters, except Cognis Corporation.
The sunset review initiated on April 6, 2010, upon request of Quimic, S.A. de C.V., a Mexican enterprise that accounts for 100% of Mexico's production of this type of acids.
