Euro-Asian Economic Commission's Anti-dumping Probe on Chinese Pig-Iron Bathtubs

Reported by a Russian newspaper of June 15, Euro-Asian Economic Commission's spokesman says that the Commission has started an antidumping (AD) probe on pig-iron bathtubs made in China.
The Commission has made a preliminary affirmation of a 36% dumping margin by the Chinese pig-iron bathtubs in the Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan Customs Union member states.
In recent two years, the China-made products have been taking market shares from the Russia-made ones at a far lower price, causing Russian orders down 7%, stocks up 5.6 times and jobs cut 6.1%, which form serious injury to Russian manufacturers.
It is said that the probe, as the first the Commission does on Chinese products, may last 4 months to one year and may produce import duty raise and quota restriction.
