Duties revised for 29 Chinese furniture factories

Department of Commerce corrects errors
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Commerce has issued revised final antidumping duties for shipments made in 2006 by 29 Chinese bedroom furniture producers, to correct errors made in the initial calculations.
Three companies — Fujian Lianfu Forestry Co., Fuzhou Huan Mei Furniture Co. Ltd. and Jiangsu Dare Furniture Co. — had their rates raised slightly from 39.44% to 39.46%.A fourth company, Teamway Furniture Co. Ltd., had its duty lowered from 25.06% to 22.29%.
The new rates affect shipments of wood bedroom furniture these companies made in calendar year 2006.The revised rates also affect the rates of 25 other Chinese wood bedroom producers, which were assigned an amended rate of 33.38% in January. That rate has now been reduced to 32.23%.
