BEIJING, Oct 11, 2011 (Sino Cast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Chinese titanium dioxide companies got a sweeping win over titanium dioxide anti-dumping investigation by South Korea. It was the best result from their fight against anti-dumping investigations by South Korea in 7 years.
The Korea Trade Commission (KTC) made its final decision on July 21 of stopping the anti-dumping tariff on anatase titanium dioxide made by China. On September 2, the South Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance decided to stop imposing anti-dumping tariff at last.
China totally exported 246,384 tons of titanium dioxide between January and July 2011, up 98.3% from the same period of 2010, thus making the country a net exporter of titanium dioxide for the first time. However, the export in August dropped by 10.74% from previous month due to the European debt crisis.
