(China) The Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation Investigates the Anti-dumping Effects of the Key Industries

From September 1 to October 15, the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation set up three groups to carry out investigation on the recuperation and development of the key industries such as the polysester chip, polysester staple chip, acrylate, pet film and pyrocatechin after the implementation of anti-dumping measures on the above-said products. According to the investigation, the anti-dumping measures limited the damping of the foreign products, maintained the fair competition in the market, so as to give time to the injured industries to recover and develop. However, disadvantages also existed: with the execution of the anti-dumping measures, the construction of the redundant projects in the involved industries became to a common phenomenon; and then the price of the involved products generally increased, which became heavy burdens on the downstream enterprises. The Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation is now studying the situation and trying to propose solutions.
