China imposes anti-dumping tax on US's oriented silicon steel

Dec. 15 MetalBiz--China Ministry of Commerce issued on December 10 the preliminary judgment that China will levy 10.7%-25% anti-dumping duty and 11.7%-12% countervailing on US's oriented silicon steel, meanwhile China also imposes 4.6%-25% anti-dumping duty on Russia's oriented silicon steel.

The tax regulation takes effect from the issuance day, all the interest aspects can submit the written comments attaching the relevant evidence to Ministry of Commerce within 20 days after the issuance day.

Insiders stated that the preliminary judgment on this case is good news for Baosteel especially for WISCO, in the meantime, this case is also a warning for other possible dumping activities to China.
