China facing more anti-dumping probes

It is not the first time China's exporters have faced an anti-dumping investigation. Nor will the most recent case be the last.
Since its entry into the World Trade Organization, China has faced an increasing number of anti-dumping probes. The global financial crisis has made the situation even worse, as more and more countries adopt protectionist measures.
Figures from the Commerce Ministry show that in the first half of the year, 15 countries launched anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations against China.
Chinese officials have warned that the increasing scrutiny, especially from the European Union and the US, is a manifestation of resurgent protectionism, which will only invite retaliation and be of benefit to no one.
