Brazil to terminate anti-dumping review of Chinese glyphosate investigation

Brazilian Government on August 15 in the Official Gazette (Official Gazette) said, due to withdrawal of the plaintiff Monsanto, Brazil will be terminated on the origin of China's glyphosate antidumping review investigation. It is reported that Monsanto Company May 19 to the Brazilian government submitted a new data request originating from China's anti-dumping review of investigations of glyphosate, such as customs duties collected proved insufficient to offset the damage, additional glyphosate in China will impose punitive tariffs, a Monsanto spokesman, said the review to abandon anti-dumping investigations mainly on account of the current international economic situation, there is uncertainty and unpredictability.
As the review of the termination of the investigation, the Brazilian government on the production of glyphosate from China imposed anti-dumping duty will remain in accordance with June 8, 2010 to develop standards, limit $ 3.6/kg, when the price is below $ 3.6/kg to spread the anti-dumping duty rate, the maximum not more than 2.52 U.S. dollars/kg, valid until February 3, 2014.
