ASEAN – South Korea Free Trade Agreement came into effect from June 1st. South Korea and ASEAN members (except Thailand) will break down tariff barrier on over 92% imported articles in 2010.
From June 1st, South Korea will not levy tax on 7,991 articles including 12,063 products and ASEAN members will reduce tax of 45% products in article list to 0-5%.
With Vietnam, many agricultural products such as coffee, tropical fruits, rice have opportunity to break into South Korea market.
