Argentine Industry and Tourism Ministry decided on Friday to keep antidumping measures against imported Brazilian pottery sanitary products for five years.

The ministry also approved a three-year agreement on the prices for similar products imported from Uruguay, including toilets, cisterns, pedestals, bidets and lavatories.

"With these approvals we closed the review of two investigations on dumping which had provisional measures since 2005," the Ministry said.

The investigations on dumping was requested by Ferrum S.A., a sanitary products manufacturer, which has 1,850 employees in Argentina.

The decision to keep the antidumping measure valid for five years against these products was made public on Friday in the Official Bulletin. The Brazilian Industry Ministry insisted that sanitary products imported from Brazil must enter Argentina with an added value established by the ministry.
