BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Argentine Production Ministry has announced new anti-dumping measures to restrict foreign imports from Brazil, China, Thailand and Germany, a news release said on Thursday.
The restrictions apply to imported Brazilian and Chinese metal cutlery, Thai air conditioners, and German and Chinese terminals and electrical connections, it said.
The Argentine government said the purpose of the measures was to combat unfair competition.
The new restrictions come in addition to similar measures last week which limit imports and raise reference values of different products, mainly of Asian origin.
The new resolutions set a provisional anti-dumping duty of 413.43 percent over the Free On Board steel cutlery from Brazil.
For the same products from China, the exporters need to pay an anti-dumping duty of 1,450.21 percent.
