Argentina - no AD measures on motorbike ignition devices on public interest grounds

On May 2, 2011, the Government of Argentina, by means of Resolution 136/2011, closed an anti-dumping investigation on imports of voltage ignition and/or regulation devices for motorcycles, scooters and quad motorbikes up to 400 cc from the People´s Republic of China (N.C.M. 8511.30.20, 8511.80.30, 8511.80.90 and 9032.89.11).
The opening of the investigation had been requested by local producers Pietcard Electrónica S.R.L. and Espel S.A.I.C.A.
The dumping margin for the purpose of opening the investigation was calculated to be 2,411.99%.
The Government did not apply any final anti-dumping right based on the “general foreign trade policy and public interest”.
