Argentina - final determination on ventilators

On June 1, 2011, the Government of Argentina, by means of Resolution 194/2011, closed an anti-dumping investigation on imports of wall, table and turbo ventilators that have an integrated engine (regardless of their electrical power and blade diameter), foot ventilators that have an integrated engine (regardless of their electrical power and blade diameter) and any combination of wall, table and foot ventilators from the People´s Republic of China (N.C.M. 8414.51.10, 8414.51.90 and 8414.59.90).
The opening of the investigation was requested by the local firms Axel S.A., Metalurgica Crivel S.C and Industrias Medano S.R.L.
The dumping margin for the purpose of opening the investigation was calculated to be 136.92%.
The Government applied a final ad valorem anti-dumping duty on imports of these products from the People´s Republic of China, amounting to 136.92% over the FOB export price.
The measure will be in force for 5 years, effective June 1, 2011.
