On September 1, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2091/QD-BCT on initiation of anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain tables and chairs originating from People's Republic of China and Malaysia (AD16).

I. Relevant information:

2. Good in investigation: Tables and chairs - HS codes: 9401.30; 9401.40.00; 9401.61.00; 9401.69.90; 9401.71.00; 9401.79.90; 9401.80.00; 9401.90.40; 9401.90.92; 9401.90.99; 9403.30.00; 9403.60.90; 9403.90.90 

3. Investigation period: 

- The investigation period to determine the dumping: 01/07/2020 - 30/06/2021

- The investigation period to determine the damage: 01/07/2018 - 30/06/2021

 

4. Decision on temporary imposition of anti-dumping measures

 

On September 30, 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1991/QD-BCT on the application of provisional anti-dumping measures to a number of table and chair products from Malaysia and China.

 

Chair products: 21.4%

 

Table products: 35.2%

 

5. Decision to apply official anti-dumping measures

On February 13, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 235/QD-BCT on the application of official anti-dumping measures to a number of table and chair products from China and terminate the investigation to apply anti-dumping measures on some furniture products from Malaysia.

 

Accordingly, the official anti-dumping measures applied to the investigated goods from China are as follows:

 

Chairs products: 21.4%

 

Tables products: 35.2%
