In the first 20 days of July, the exporting turnover of Vietnamese bamboo knitted products reached 2.9 million US dollars. It is estimated that in July the exporting turnover of this article would reach 4.4 million US dollars. Thus, in the first 7 months of this year, the exporting turnover of Vietnamese bamboo knitted products reached 28.7 million US dollars, increased by 15.7% year on year.
 
In June, these Vietnamese traditional bamboo products such as trays, furniture, vases, bamboo screen, dishes, baskets, bins, etc. are still core exporting articles in this exporting category of Vietnam.  Its exports in June reached 4.3 million US dollars, slightly increased in comparison with that in May and increased by 10.6% year on year. Remarkably, some of Vietnamese exporting bamboo knitted products’ value has significantly increased in comparison with that in May. For example:

+ Bamboo trays exports gained 432 thousand US dollars, increasing by 88.6%;

+ Bamboo dishes exports gained 367 thousand US dollars, increasing by 56.8%;

+ Bamboo screen exports gained 302 thousand US dollars, increasing by 13.1%;

+ Screen made of bamboo exports reached 287 thousand US dollars, increasing by 69.8%;

+ Bamboo plates exports reached 252 thousand US dollars, increasing by 29.9%;

+ Etc.

The exports to U.S market account for the highest proportion in June with the exporting turnover of 709 thousand US dollars, decreasing by 13.2% in comparison with the previous month. In the first 6 months of the year, the exporting turnover of Vietnamese bamboo knitted articles to the U.S market reached 4.4 million US dollars, decreasing by 3.2% year on year. A few articles exported to the U.S market had increased fairly much in May, but decreased in June. For example, bamboo vases had the 64-thousand-US-dollar exporting turnover in June, which decreased 75% compared with May. The exporting turnover of others such as baskets, handbags, shelves, etc. also decreased. However, some increased fairly much. Bamboo dishes and plates exports, for example, reached 146 thousand US dollars in June, increasing 49%; bamboo trays’ is 121 thousand US dollars, increasing 37.5%; bamboo casks’ gained 34 thousand US dollars, increasing 240%.

Next one is Japanese market with the exporting turnover in June gaining 552 million US dollars, increasing by 26.2% in comparison with the previous month. Thus, in the first 6 months of this year, the exporting turnover of Vietnamese bamboo knitted products to Japan reached 2.9 million US dollars, decreasing 7.1% year on year.
