On January 18, 2012, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) officially decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on steel wire hanging hanger imported from Vietnam and anti-dumping investigators on steel wire hanging hanger originating from Taiwan based on the complaint on December 29, 2011

Investigation about dumping:
On July 27, 2012, the US Department of Commerce announced a preliminary conclusion affirming that there was the devaluation of Steel wire hanging hanger imported from Vietnam.
On December 24, 2012, DOC announced a final conclusion affirming the devaluation of Steel wire hanging hanger imported from Vietnam.

On May 30, 2012, DOC announced the preliminary conclusion affirming that there was a subsidy for Steel wire hanging hanger imported from Vietnam.
On 24/12/2012, DOC announced the final conclusion affirming that there was the subsidy for Steel wire hanging hanger imported from Vietnam.

2. ITC’s investigation about damage:
On February 10, 2012, the United States Department of International Trade (ITC) announced the preliminary conclusion affirming the significant damage to the US domestic steel production industry because of subsidy and devaluation of Steel wire hanging hanger from Vietnam.
On February 1, 2013, ITC announced the preliminary conclusion affirming the significant damage to the US domestic steel production industry because of subsidy and devaluation of Steel wire hanging hanger from Vietnam.
3. Decision on official tax applicance:
Based on the DOC’s results of the investigation about dumping and subsidies and the ITC’s investigation about damages, the US Department of Commerce decided to impose anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on imported Steel wire hanging hanger from Vietnam. The anti-dumping duty rate is equal to the final margin of dumping (as above) and the anti-subsidy duty rate is equal to the final margin of subsidy (as above).
The order to impose anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties both takes effect from February 5, 2013.
