22/04/2026 03:55
According to information from the Trade Remedies Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the Department has just received information that the Pakistan National Tariff Commission (NTC) has accepted a request for an anti-dumping investigation into adhesive tape products originating from or imported from Viet Nam.
Accordingly, the goods under investigation are biaxially oriented self-adhesive tapes (BOPP) in jumbo rolls, falling under HS codes 3919.9010 and 3919.9090.
Currently, the Pakistan Tariff Commission is reviewing the accuracy and validity of the complaint to determine whether to initiate it. More details regarding the anti-dumping investigation period and the injury investigation period have not yet been disclosed. The Trade Remedies Department will continue to monitor and update the information.
In response to the case, the Trade Remedies Department recommends that relevant associations and manufacturing and exporting businesses review the export situation of the investigated products to Pakistan.
Simultaneously, plan a response to the incident should it be initiated (including preparing resources, gathering early information on production costs, sales, and exports to Pakistan to answer the investigation questionnaire, and hiring legal counsel if necessary...). In addition, coordinate with the Trade Remedies Department for handling and, if needed, seek advice and support.
