Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation has suspended cold rolled coil exports to Indonesia after the Indonesian government announced to levy antidumping duty on CRC imports from Japan.
According to data released by the South East Asia Iron & Steel Institute, Indonesia’s CRC imports accounted for 30% of the country’s total consumption. Japan was the largest CRC supplier to Indonesia.
Currently, NSSMC is seeking to negotiate with the Indonesian government to reduce AD duty.
