Non-alloy steel-based cold rolled coils – Malaysia investigates anti-dumping measures

On March 29, 2019, Malaysia's Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) announced the initiation of an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on non-alloy steel-based cold rolled coils imported from Vietnam, China, South Korea and Japan.

1. Initiated date: March, 29, 2019
2. Goods under investigation: non-alloy steel-based cold rolled coils with a width of more than 1,300mm – HS Code: 7209.15.00.00, 7209.16.90.00, 7209.17.90.00, 7209.18.99.00, 7225.50.90.00
3. Petitioner: Mycron Steel CRC SDN Bhd
4. Petitioner’s allegations: The petitioner alleged that subject merchandise from the alleged countries are being imported into Malaysia at a price lower than the selling price in their respective domestic markets, causing material injury to the domestic industry in Malaysia.
5. Some milestones should be noted by the enterprise:
- The related parties can ask for questionnaire within 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette;
- Deadline for answering the questionnaire; providing views on the case is 30 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette;
