Amidst the volatile international shipping chain, Lulu Group has launched a charter flight to transport nearly 100 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables from Vietnam to the Middle East, contributing to stabilizing supply and supporting agricultural exports.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , on April 18th, a cargo flight arranged by Lulu Group successfully transported approximately 98 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables from Vietnam to the Middle East, departing from Tan Son Nhat International Airport. This move reflects efforts to maintain bilateral trade flows and ensure uninterrupted food supply chains amidst challenging global logistics conditions.

The initiative, launched under the direction of Mr. MA Yusuff Ali, Chairman of Lulu Group, underscores the company's long-term commitment to supporting Vietnamese exporters while ensuring a stable supply of fresh agricultural products to key markets in the Middle East.

The shipment was procured and collected by MAY Exports Vietnam - the Group's purchasing division in Vietnam - through its extensive network of suppliers in the southern region. This export shipment includes various fresh fruits such as lemons, dragon fruit, pomelo, jackfruit, etc., clearly demonstrating the quality and diversity of Vietnamese agricultural products.

According to a representative from MAY Exports Vietnam, the procurement, packaging, and transportation processes are being implemented urgently, ensuring quality standards and delivery times, especially for perishable products.

The plane from Abu Dhabi landed in Ho Chi Minh City on the night of April 17th to pick up the cargo. After completing the loading and unloading process, the flight took off in the early morning of April 18th, transporting the entire shipment to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for further distribution to other markets in the Middle East region.

In the context of sea transport being affected by many uncertain factors, especially for perishable goods, switching to air transport is seen as a flexible and timely solution. This method significantly shortens transport time, ensures product freshness, and minimizes the risk of supply chain disruptions.

In the Middle Eastern market, Vietnamese fruit products continue to be widely distributed through Lulu's supermarket system, one of the largest retail channels in the region. This not only helps increase the recognition of Vietnamese agricultural products but also expands opportunities to reach international consumers.

This transportation operation further affirms the role of international distribution businesses in connecting markets, and demonstrates the potential for increasingly deep cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE in the fields of agriculture , trade, and logistics.

In the future, such flexible transportation solutions are expected to continue to be effective, contributing to strengthening the supply chain, maintaining export growth, and creating more opportunities for Vietnamese agricultural products to reach further into the global market.
