India: Anti-dumping duty imposed on ‘fluoroelastomers’ from China

Finance Ministry has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on ‘fluoroelastomers’ (FKM), a class of synthetic rubber, imported from China.
Based on the recommendations of the Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry in its final findings, the revenue department has now imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on FKM for period of 18 months.
Described as ‘Rubber King’, FKM is designed for very high temperature operations and finds application in both industrial, automotive as well as aerospace uses.
Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd had filed the petition seeking definitive anti-dumping duty on FKM imports from China.
The anti-dumping duty ranges from $0.078 per kilogram to $7.31 per kilogram.
