Gas Powered Pressure Washers - The US investigates anti-dumping measure

On January 19, 2023, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an anti-dumping investigation on gas-powered pressure washers imported from Vietnam and China (case No. A–570–148, A–552–008).

I. Relevant information:

1. Initiated date: January 19, 2023

2. Goods under investigation: Gas-powered pressure washers under HS codes 8424.30.90 and 8424.90.9040

3. Investigation period: From April 01, 2022 to September 30, 2022

4. Petitioner: FNA Group, Inc. (The US)

5. Preliminary conclusions:

On February 14, 2023, the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) preliminarily concluded that there was domestic injury due to dumping.

On June 8, 2023, USDOC issued a preliminary conclusion confirming that products imported from Vietnam engaged in dumping with a dumping margin of 225.65%.

6. Final conclusion:

On August 29, 2023, USDOC issued a final conclusion confirming that products imported from Vietnam engaged in dumping with a dumping margin of 225.65%.

On October 13, 2023, ITC issued a final conclusion confirming injury due to dumping of Gas Powered Pressure Washers from Vietnam

On October 25, 2023, USDOC issued the Anti-dumping duty order, which imposed an anti-dumping tax rate of 225.86% on the products.
