Joining WTO is both an opportunity and a challenge for Vietnam’s economy. How to enhance the quality of goods without increasing their selling price to dominate the market, simultaneously, to boost exports to foreign countries are big questions, especially for companies specializing in this industry.

Dien Quang Lamp Joint Stock Company is a typical example. With the determination of exporting products branded domestic name to the world, the company ceaselessly tries its best to improve technology, competitiveness, and quality to meet the strict standards that foreign countries set. The company’s philosophy has been proved by the average growth of 30% to 40% per year on annual exporting turn-over. The exporting turn-over of 1997 reached modestly over 63,000 US Dollars, then in 2005 the turn-over was 2,300,000 US Dollars, and eight times more than that was achieved in 2006. For only first seven months of 2007, the exporting turn-over has reached 34,000,000 US Dollars, ten times higher year on year. The exporting market of the company has been expanded to several countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Africa, Middle and South America. Dien Quang has achieved some progress in Myanmar, Egypt, South Korea, India, South America, and so on.
