On Mar 28, 2025, India’s Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into Elastomeric filament yarn originating from China and Vietnam.

2. Item under investigation: elastomeric filament yarn under the HS codes 54024400 and 54041100, known as Spandex or Elastane yarn in the market, mainly used in the production of elastic clothing.

3. Petitioner: Indorama India Private Limited

4. Investigation period:

- The anti-dumping investigation period was from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024

- The injury investigation was from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022; from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023; and from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024.
