Cold rolled stainless steel – Malaysia investigates anti-dumping measures

On July 28, 2020, Malaysia's Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) initiated an anti-dumping investigation against Cold rolled stainless steel in coils, sheets or any other form originating or exported from Indonesia and Vietnam. 
 
I. Relevant information: 
 
1. Initiated date: July 28, 2020
 
2. Petitioner: Bahru Stainless Sdn. Bhd.
 
3. Goods under investigation: Cold rolled stainless steel in coils, sheets or any other form. HS code: 7219.31.00.00, 7219.32.00.00, 7219.33.00.00, 7219.34.00.00, 7219.35.00.00; 7220.20.10.00; 7220.90.00.

4. Preliminary determination:

MITI decided to apply provisional anti-dumping duties for the maximun of 120 days, since 26 December 2020.

Provisional anti-dumping duties rates were 7.73% to 34.82% for Vietnamese and Indonesian producer.

5. Final determination:

MITI  decided to impose anti-dumping duties from 7,81% to 23,84% against Vietnamese producer and from -0,2% to 34,82% against Indonesian producer.

The period of anti-dumping duties imposition is 5 years, from 24 April 2021 to  23 April 2026.
